ELECTRONIC MEDIA EXPECTATIONS

Electronic Media Devices are not to be used in the class without the Instructors Permission and/or Directions.

The Card is GREEN.

During this time, students are permitted to have their (or other persons) ELECTRONIC MEDIA DEVICE(s) in use and/or visible for all to see without it/them being confiscated by the instructor and/or administration. Students will be notified by the instructor when this period of time is about to expire and the card will become RED.

The Card is RED.

During this time, students are NOT permitted to have their (or other persons) ELECTRONIC MEDIA DEVICE(s) in use and/or visible for any and all to see. If the device(s) is/are seen by the instructor and/or administration, it will immediately be confiscated by the instructor and/or administration. Students will be notified by the instructor when this period of time is about to expire and the card will become GREEN.

If a student’s device is confiscated by the instructor, it will be:

* Identified as to who the device was taken from.

* Brought to the front office.

* Returned to the parent/guardian after school from 3:05-4:30 (per district policy.)

A student’s refusal to turn over their device to the instructor will be handled by school administration at their discrepancy.

During class periods, the hallways/restrooms, etc. are considered a RED CARD ZONE.

Students needing to leave the classroom during instructional time will need to leave their device with the instructor until they return.

In order to help the education process run more smoothly, we have implemented a red card/green card system for our students having electronic devices.    We are asking for your support and help to implement this new procedure.  If you have any questions, please call the high school at 784-8956.
